Moravia Consulting to Supply HP Calculators Worldwide

Moravia Consulting, a company based in the heart of Europe, has expanded a major technology and brand licensing contract that will boost its annual production by hundreds of thousands of units. The company will now represent HP calculators globally, including across North and South America. This year, production for HP calculators will double to 300,000 units, and by next year, it is expected to reach half a million. For Moravia Consulting, this represents one of the largest contracts in Moravia’s 30-year history.

HP introduced its first scientific pocket calculator, the HP-35, to the market in 1972. Moravia Consulting began working with HP upon Moravia’s founding in 1993. Last year, Moravia sold 1.4 million units, including more than 150,000 units under the HP brand. “Thanks to our long-standing cooperation and reliability, we now have the opportunity to sell our products under the HP brand in North and South America as well,” said Alois Hübl, Managing Director of Moravia Consulting. “We have become HP’s global licensee for the development, production, and distribution of calculators and educational robots, which significantly deepens our partnership.”

HP Calculators are one of the four leading global players in the calculator market in terms of production and distribution. These products have long been known for their reliability, durability, and advanced features – especially in scientific, financial, and graphing models. Users value HP calculators for their robust construction and precision, making them popular among advanced math students, engineers, and analysts.

“HP is also the only major brand that, in addition to calculators, offers educational robots. This new agreement means greater responsibility and greater impact for us in this area as well. More schools and students will gain access to technologies that foster logical thinking, creativity, and technical skills,” said Hübl, noting that the key product in educational technology is HP Robots Otto. Essentially, it’s a modular robot that integrates programming, 3D printing, electronics, and mechanics. “These robots engage even the youngest generation. Thanks to them, children can begin using laptops at an early age, advancing their education. For teachers, the added value is in the ready-made educational lessons. HP robots also come at a very competitive price compared to other solutions,” he added.

More than 30 years after its founding, Moravia Consulting remains a family-oriented business. It develops, manufactures, and sells calculators worldwide. Last year, it produced 1.4 million units, a number expected to rise to nearly 2 million in the coming year. The company is headquartered in the Czech Republic, in Central Europe.
